In late December, our dear colleague Penny Marcus was notified by President Salovey that she has been appointed the Sarai Ribicoff Professor of Italian Studies. We congratulate Penny on this well-deserved recognition of her many accomplishments as a scholar, teacher, department chair, DGS, and university citizen over the eighteen years that she has been at Yale.
