Rookshar is a visiting student from Notre Dame University. She graduated at the University of Catania with both a BA and a MA, focusing on Dante’s depiction of Beatrice’s beauty in the Vita nuova and the Comedy.
Her dissertation focuses on the representation of Christ in the Comedy from a theological and iconographical perspective, in order to show how it influences Dante’s portrayal of the characters and his poetics in the poem.
Her interests include realism, characterization, art history, Italian modern and contemporary literature.
