Teresa Fiore Visiting Yale - Spring 2022

June 23, 2021

Italian Studies is delighted to welcome Professor Fiore to Yale University.

Professor Teresa Fiore, the Inserra Chair of Italian and Italian American Studies at Montclair State University, who spoke to us in April for our “Understanding Italian Studies” series, will be joining us in the spring to teach a graduate seminar.  The topic is still to be determined but she will be bringing in material from her new book, “Preoccupied Spaces: Remapping Italy’s Transnational MIgrations and Colonial Legacies”.  We’re delighted that she has accepted the offer to be part of our community for a semester starting in January.

Professor Fiore’s teaching and research interests include 19th-, 20th-, and 21st-century Italian literature, Italian cinema, Italian American culture, and immigration in contemporary Italy, with a theoretical focus on space.
